Outbreaks (month/year) of African Armyworm in Malawi

African Army worm is a significant pest in Malawi causing severe damage to grass family crops especially maize which is a staple food in the country. The pest also attacks bush, and management of the of the pest should also include the bush. The outbreaks of African Armyworm usually occur during intermittent dry and wet conditions in mostly areas along Lake shore and Shire River.
