There are guidelines to “good crop management” which are important to all N2Africa crops grown in southern Africa. Many of these are simple practices and techniques which work for nearly all crops, commonly grown during the rainy season. Other guidelines are important throughout the growing season, such as removal of plants infected with diseases which can spread to other plants
Purpose
The contents of these guidelines are based on a compilation of information taken from different sources , in addition to the authors experience gleaned from many years of working with small scale farmers in sub-Saharan Africa.
