DAES

Department of Agriculture Extension Services (DAES) is one of the ten (10) departments of the Ministry of Agriculture. DAES aims to improve knowledge and skills of technologies, agriculture business management, gender, nutrition and their practices among clients and farmers of different scales and gender categories in Malawi. This contributes to increased agriculture productivity, food, nutrition, and income security in Malawi.

VISION

The Vision of agricultural extension service is that “all farmers demand and access high quality agricultural extension services.”

MISSION

The mission is to provide demand driven agricultural extension services in partnership with civic, Non Governmental Organizations (NGO), private and farmers organizations and promote equalization and coordination in service provision in order to achieve food, nutrition and income security at household level thereby reducing poverty.
